Katie Carrion is a visual artist and nonprofit professional based in San Diego, California. Her work spans project management, rehabilitative art practices, teaching, and mentorship, with a focus on making art accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. Through her professional and creative work, Katie uses art as a tool for healing. Her work explores feelings and experiences that are hand crafted and illustrated stories.

Since graduating with a bachelor's in fine arts in 2013, Katie has worked with art education and community-based nonprofit organizations including The Rainforest Project, ArtReach San Diego, Project Paint, and The AjA Project. She is currently working at A Reason to Survive (ARTS) as a Program Coordinator creating free and inclusive art programs for youth in South Bay San Deigo. She was also the owner and operator of Little Dame for seven years, a retail shop, event space, and tattoo studio where she curated experiences rooted in connection, education, and creativity. Little Dame was the first female owned Taxidermy workshop space in San Diego hosting classes and selling preserved art from 2015-2020.

Her artistic practice includes watercolor collections inspired by places she has visited, as well as imagined landscapes of places she has yet to explore. She also works across ceramics, sewing, illustration, painting, crafting, and storytelling.
